p4 skt 478 with agp, ddr & sis chipset, you can still get a cheap one from asrock but it will cost loads to get it fitted.
Unusual for mb to go pop just from ram change, unless you zapped it 50.000volts of static. Did they say the psu was ok?

Only agp, the best is an elite k7vmm with athlon 1900 - so not great these days
