I've heard Hanzy talk!
Some people are like Slinkies. They’re not really good for anything; but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs!

Very well writen review out of a pc gamers point of view HERE
His final conclusion:
His final conclusion:
I firmly believe that for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 that our console review is spot on the money. It is a 95% game for those platforms, it's a great contender for Game of the Year and it'll probably sell better than Tamiflu. Unfortunately however, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the PC is simply a next-gen console game with mouse support, in-game text chat and rudimentary graphics options. Infinity Ward have made it pretty clear that as a PC gamer, your platform advantages don't count, and neither does your community, your history and your considerable modding skills.
Make of that what you will.

Interesting reading from a consol noobs point of view why pc games are failing.

The thing about PC gamers is, they expect certain things out of their games, things that have always been there as far back as Quake. First and foremost is the exclusion of support for dedicated servers. Back in the Quake II days, I remember logging into the same server (Nostromo) every night over the summer to play deathmatch over dial-up. On the 360 and PS3, matchmaking is an accepted part of the platform.

i guess what happened was the Devs thought...hey it works on xbox so it will work on PC.
granted it has levelled the playing field a little on the PC, it has made all our PC's into one system (ie a console) with only a few variables.
the problem here is, the p2p and no dedis - this hasnt made the game crap as such it has just destroyed the League/Competitive play - the main reason why PC gamers play FPS.
now if IW had any sense they would look at renting dedicated servers under their brand/control for league play.
call them iw.net! lol
ie good hardware with a nice online GUI to set what you need and could be locked 24/7 and used exclusive for league stuff, infact this would probably make them more attractive to rent for clans if branded by IW.
this doesnt mess with the games basic principles and still the noobs get the match making system, just need to add a league button in the MP menu.

And why in the hell do consolekiddies accept this? I don't belive that there is any restrictions from hardware/software to make dedicated servers also to xbox and ps...Godz wrote: On the 360 and PS3, matchmaking is an accepted part of the platform.
